formalities

The state, for its part, tried to secure and designate memorable dates in the history of Russia as much as possible, but this was not enough. On the territory of our country, there is a federal law entitled "On the days of military glory and memorable dates in Russia" dated 1995. However, you need to learn about such things not only through reading legal literature, studying the law on memorable dates in Russia, but also at the ordinary level of consciousness and development: there are a lot of sources from the stories of parents, books, information from the Internet. In order to eliminate such misunderstandings, we will talk about some of the events of the historical calendar.

Battle on the Ice

In total, the calendar of memorable dates in Russia has 15 historically significant events. Each of them, of course, deserves special attention, but children should know about the Battle of the Ice from primary school.

This historical event took place on April 18, and the main character of the Battle on the Ice, of course, is the well-known Alexander Nevsky. In 1242, German knights, better known as the Crusaders, attacked Great Russia. The battle took place on Undoubtedly, the historical figure of Alexander Nevsky deserves special attention in the annals of the Middle Ages. Such memorable dates in the history of Russia are important because they show the valor and courage of the Russian people: great and mighty.

Thanks to the Battle of the Ice, our troops completely destroyed the plans of the Germans for the successful conquest of the eastern territories, and also secured the borders of their homeland for a long time.

Battle of Kulikovo

On September 21, the whole country honors the memory of Dmitry Donskoy, who became the winner in another grandiose battle - in the battle on the Kulikovo field. This was the first victory over the Tatar-Mongols, which served as the most important impetus for the formation of independence and the gradual liberation from the yoke of foreign invaders.

In 1380, on September 8, the widest battles unfolded between representatives of the Golden Horde, led by Mamai, and brave Russian warriors - assistants to Grand Duke Dmitry Donskoy. It is worth noting that initially the head of All Russia pursued a national liberation policy and, thanks to his perseverance, achieved stunning results. And memorable dates of Russia's military glory are reminded of this every year.

November 7 - liberation of Moscow

Two big names - Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky - are still heard by every inhabitant of a modern state. And all thanks to the fact that on this significant day the people's militia defeated the Polish invaders, who so brazenly encroached on the territory and property of the Motherland! It is important to prepare a good message here: Russia's memorable dates associated with November are usually associated with the Battle of Poltava.

The history of this event began back in 1609, when the Polish army made an attempt to illegally invade the territory of the Russian state, which was crowned with success. After Vasily Shuisky actually resigned the powers of government, the Polish interventionists illegally took the reins of government into their own hands.

In connection with the obvious injustice, people's discontent gradually began to grow in the country, in connection with which political movements began to form that opposed the invaders. At the height of public unrest, he led the militia, and the governor Dmitry Pozharsky was responsible for all military operations.

So the memorable dates of the military history of Russia were replenished with another significant event.

First naval victory

August, 1714 Thanks to the great reforms of the mighty autocrat Peter I, every citizen of Russia proudly recalls the first significant victory of the navy. The commander-in-chief of that battle was himself and won a stunning victory over the Swedish troops near Cape Gangut.

Many memorable dates in Russia are dedicated to the Northern War, in which the first emperor is the fundamental figure. In 1714, he, skillfully commanding his army, managed to capture 10 enemy ships, completely destroying Ehrenskiöld's squadron.

Another victory of Peter I

With great memory, the Russian people honor the victory in what happened in 1709. And, of course, the outstanding commander-in-chief of the army was the outstanding Peter I.

This time, the brave guys of the Russian Empire stopped the attempt of the forcible seizure of the territory by the Swedish troops led by Charles XII. The date is considered memorable not only due to the brilliant victory, but also due to the fact that the scales of the Northern War victorious after such a battle tipped in favor of Russia. The first Russian emperor dubbed this significant event "the victory over the second Poltava" - the largest naval victory of our people.

Holiday February 23

It so happened that on February 23 the whole country celebrates a holiday called Defender of the Fatherland Day. However, not everyone knows that in 1918 the Red Army won a significant victory over the Kaiser's troops.

When Trotsky announced that Russia would never sign peace, in 1918 the German troops considered this statement as a unique pretext for attacking and waging a quick war, launching an offensive along the entire front line. First of all, the Petrograd direction was under threat. On the evening of February 23, enemy troops stopped near Pskov.

From that date and for five days, fierce battles were fought with the Red Army for the freedom of the Russian people. On February 28, the first lines of heroic glory were already spread throughout the state: the population knew their heroes! That is how they appeared in Russia. Celebrating February 23 as Defender of the Fatherland Day, it is important to remember the great victory of the Russian troops over the enemies from Kaiser's Germany.

Memory of the Battle of Stalingrad

The next bright star that consecrates the memorable dates of Russia is the day of the defeat of the German troops in the Battle of Stalingrad. The great historical event took place on February 2, 1943.

We all remember that the Battle of Stalingrad is one of the most memorable battles of the Great Patriotic War. The broadest resistance began in the summer of 1942 and lasted almost 365 days. Many months of defense showed that the power of the German soldiers was only enough to move 80 kilometers forward. But nevertheless, a multiple increase in the enemy's power of soldiers and equipment took its toll: on August 23, Stalingrad was captured. The hours of German penetration into the city became the most terrible for its inhabitants. The bombing lasted for several days, volleys continuously lashing the city. But even at this seemingly turning point, the Russians did not let themselves lose heart! For several months, there was a fierce struggle for every building, street, district of the city.

November. Almost the entire city is captured. then he did not even suspect that the battle for Stalingrad would become a memorable date in Russia. Before the Volga River sometimes remained a couple of hundred meters.

During a period of intense hostilities, on a day when everything seemed to be over, the Soviet commanders began to develop a plan for a counteroffensive. Significant assistance in the implementation of the plan was provided by the people's reserves, thanks to which the enemy was gradually enclosed in a powerful encirclement. Suspecting an unfavorable movement on the part of the Soviet soldiers, the German command made an attempt to disrupt the operation, which was immediately stopped on the spot. So the cunning of the commanders, the courage of the soldiers and the incredible will of the Russian people brought victory. A huge number of prisoners of war were taken, including 2.5 thousand soldiers and about 24 generals. These are the memorable military dates of Russia known to domestic history.

Lifting the blockade of Leningrad

The military events of 1944 are known to the whole world. In August 1941, an enemy attack began on the second most important capital of Russia - Leningrad. Soon the city was surrounded by Germans. The siege lasted 880 days. More than 640,000 residents of the city were killed in the violent attack. The victory came at a high cost. But even in such a hopeless situation, the national spirit of the inhabitants was not broken. Gradually arriving help, thoughts of imminent liberation, unwillingness to surrender to the enemy as a prisoner helped to expel the troops of the fascist invaders from the Soviet Union in disgrace! That is why every inhabitant of the modern Russian state must remember that the holidays and memorable dates in Russia include an event called the Lifting of the Siege of Leningrad - January 27th.

The list of significant dates dedicated to great historical events does not end there. You can talk about the exploits of the Russian people for a very long time, describing each of them in bright colors. Therefore, modern society should never forget what our mighty ancestors did for us.

People communicate in numerous languages. Each of them has its own characteristics of pronunciation, spelling and use of words. Speech captures changes in the cultural traditions of society and its development. They are reflected in the works of literature and oral creativity of the people. To preserve the accumulated heritage of achievements calls for an international holiday.

Who is celebrating

Everyone who is connected with the study and transmission of knowledge about speech and writing is related to the celebrations. Among them are researchers, teachers of literature, the Russian language, library staff. The holiday is considered by teachers, students, graduate students of philological faculties of higher educational institutions. The event is attended by all those who have received an appropriate education, are fond of writing, their relatives, acquaintances, friends and close people.

History and traditions of the holiday

The event originates thanks to Ivan Klimenko's article "Let there be a Day!", published in one of the newspapers. He is also known for the fact that he created the Russian pun (intellectual fun, accompanied by competitions in the field of philology). The author described in his work the idea of the holiday, giving it to the readers.

The initiative, set out in the printed edition, did not at first find any support from the Russian authorities. The United Nations turned out to be much more agile. In 2010, the UN proclaimed June 6 the Day of the Russian Language, and already in 2011 the President of Russia issued a decree. The document fixed this date at the state level. It has a symbolic meaning, as stated in the legislative act.

The event is dedicated to the birth of A. Pushkin - one of the most significant figures of the so-called golden age. An outstanding personality is considered the author of modern literary norms for the use of words, and the works are included in the world cultural heritage. Some researchers believe that the poet's contribution is exaggerated, and his image was elevated to the rank of a cult, at the suggestion of I. Stalin.

Russian Language Day 2020 is widely popular in the educational and professional environment. The event is celebrated at the festive table. Colleagues discuss the news, tell stories from life and everyday work. Congratulations, toasts ending with the clink of glasses sound. The government gives speeches that support the language. The participants exchange valuable gifts. One of the most coveted and widespread is the rare book.

On this day, it is customary to attend cultural events: film screenings, theatrical performances, exhibitions, concerts of song and dance groups. Students arrange open readings. There are excerpts of classical works, reports of researchers. Particular attention is paid to young authors. Writers present their works, leave signatures for everyone. Radio stations and television broadcast programs devoted to literature and related topics.

On the eve of the date or on the next weekend, philologists go out into nature. Meals are prepared on an open fire, leisure activities are held in the open air. This is facilitated by the warm weather of the summer month. Relatives, friends and close people are usually invited to picnics.

The birthday of the Russian language is one of the events aimed at its preservation and development.
